The AT axles are 2 different lengths, and I think they are both shorter than
the MT axles. These are IRS axles, however and IRS axle length does not
set wheel position. Perhaps your friend has a different transmission in there
which is wider so it needs shorter axles to span the now-shorter gap
between the transmission and the IRS hub.
