This was with the setting of my ohmmeter at RX10. I'm surprised, but I took my readings at somewhat cooler temps. I would not have expected them to read the same, however. I thought I did this carefully, but I may have made a mistake. > I out the 2500 ohm one in my car and drove about 15 miles and took a > reading. 360 ohms! I'd be tempted to try the 3000 Ohm one, then. > So now I'm asking myself, is my engine just getting way too hot? > > My valves are set at 004 on the intakes, .006 on the exhaust. > > On another note, my fuel pump seems awfully loud in the past week. Check underneath and see if one of the rubber mounts has come loose so that the pump could sag down and touch the front beam somewhere. If there was dirt in your tank and it has clogged up your fuel filter then this will make the pump sound louder. It can also bring the pressure down and this would lean out the engine, making it run hot, so this is something to wonder about. The best test would be to put a pressure gauge on there and take it for a test drive while you watch the pressure. If the fuel pressure sags under load replace the filter. > Still, no starting problems for the whole trip.
