I had that problem Jordan, I'm running a 2275 with Superflow heads. Are you refering to cabin temps, engine bay temps, or engine temps? To seal of the cabin, I used 1mm stainless steel. It's strong and looks fantastic. Take out the cardboard "firewall" behind the back seat, and use it as a template. The new one will then slot straight in. Seal it with lots of silicon to avoid having steel on steel. Mine is noisey, but I love hearing all the engine noises. I also found that by removing the origional firewall, and having the twin webbers 44 IDFs above the deck, the temperaures in the engine bay became excessive. This was partly due to an issue with oil cooling. When driving the car, I was getting temperatures around 50C in the engine bay. When I stopped, this would get up to 75C. I had to seal off the bay and offset the decklid to get cool air for the carbs. This resulted in running temps around 30c in the engine bay, and parking temps around 45C. With engine temps, I ended up with a porsche fan cooling system, and a kymco super cooler. Works a treat. Purchase temp sensors. I should have done that initally. Cylinder heads temps, oil temps and the cheapest, engine bay temps. For the engine bay I used a digital house, inside/outside gauge for about $10 from Radioshack. I can monitor all changes I make and ascertain if it makes a monitorable difference to temperatures.
