It's about 1/2 the price of the 3M stuff, and I think it does a better job. It seems to stay "tacky" longer so you can move the carpet around. Start in the weird areas and stretch the carpet to fit. It may not look like it, but it'll form to just about any shape with some persistence. Also remember you're going to have to make relief cuts no matter what.
