<x-charset iso-8859-1>DaveB=> Weber 34ict carbs ... => It seems that not enough gas => is being delivered to the carb(s) when you => first roll on the throttle. I have Solexes, not Webers, but I had a similar problem after I rebuilt my engine, and maybe this will help. It really felt like it wasn't getting enough gas, and I adjusted my accelerator pumps full out with no effect. Then, just for kicks, I readjusted them to the leanest setting -- and everything smoothed out. They had been getting too *much* gas. This may have something to do with the cam using fuel more efficiently, I don't know, but it worked. Idle mixture won't make any difference to acceleration. Look for the accelerator pump linkage. And if you have an 009, the man's right, chuck it or maybe sell it to a kid with a Bug.
