<x-charset iso-8859-1>I recently installed a new set of Weber 34ict carbs on my 1600dp with a mild cam. I have adjusted and balanced them and the performance is definitely better than with my old and leaky solex's, except for one problem: It seems that not enough gas is being delivered to the carb(s) when you first roll on the throttle. The engine sputters and coughs when taking off from the line or when on the road and having either decelerated or leveled off the throttle, then opening it slightly. If depress the accelerator sufficiently, it will run smoother. It also gets better as the engine warms up. But at no time is it completely gone. I replaced the fuel filter I have in front of the fuel pump and have checked that the tank filter screen is clear, all looks good. Since I see no other adjustments than the idle screw and idle mixture needle, my best guess is that it is running too lean and may require new jets. If this is correct, how to determine the correct size and where do I get them? If not, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
