<x-charset iso-8859-1>Sorry to hear that. As the other's have said, I'm sure that they will total it, however, squeeze them for EVERYTHING you can! You'll need a rental car (at their expense) till the settlement. Go through all of the on-line for sale lists and document the (asking) prices of like cars since the NADA or Bluebook will probably list peanuts for the car. These are classic collectible cars so DON'T settle for peanuts. If they don't budge, get an ambulance chaser lawyer that works on commission only and only if they collect and have them go after the SOB's, you have nothing to lose. Were you in the car? If you were, I'm sure that you are(will be) sore and might miss work for treatments and therapy. THEY have to pay for all of this. Once you settle, you can buy your car back from the insurance company for the salvage price (should not be more than a couple hundred bucks) if you think it's fixable or at least you can get that much in parts out of it to help you on your next one. Don't let them railroad you (can you tell I HATE insurance companies ;-)) Hugo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Keith Park" <topnotch@nycap.rr.com> To: <type3@vwtype3.org> Sent: Thursday, July 11, 2002 7:08 PM Subject: Re: [T3] rear ended, need advice? > Several people who have hit me had State farm... that company has been very > fair to me with property damage anyway.
