So one of the symptoms is that it is hard to start the morning after you have parked it while hot? If so, try this test: Park it just as you normally would in the evening and then let it cool down for several hours. Before you go to bed go out and do whatever you need to to get it started. Let it run just long enough to get running right, not more than one minute. Then shut it off. The next morning, see if it just starts right up. > I did this when I first got the car because it would idle and was running rich. > The culprit there turned out to be a disconnected hose . I believe you posted that you found your pressure sensor hose disconnected. You might want to try changing the plugs now to see if that experience fouled them. > > Do you have a cold start injector? In a texas 69, you probably don't have one. > > If you have a 68 or 69 and are running the "A" brain, you should try a "B" > > brain. A lot of A brains were replaced under warrantee, and most of the 69 production got B brains anyway, so it's unlikely that you have one, but it's worth checking. I think I have a B here if you need it. - Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
