I had the same problem, last summer.  I'm not sure what fixed it.  Here is
what I have done: I have disconnected the cold start valve, done a complete
tune up and even know my trigger contacts measured 'working', I replaced
them anyway.  I have never had a problem since.  Hope this helps?
