The carbs on my car are original and like that as well. The base part says 32-34 PDSIT and on the top half it has 32PDSIT. In the rebuild kit instructions that I recently used on them it shows a picture of the bus carbs, with all sorts of extra bits and pieces in the top half. I used to have the earlier 32PDSIT's on a Beetle, and they did look quite a bit different than the ones I currently have on my Fastback, but I think all of the passages and drillings etc. would line up properly.
