I really hate to see engines run with such heavy oil. It makes us feel better, 
but I think the engine is happier with the greater flow and quicker cold start 
lubrication that comes with more normal weights. I used to do this, too, but I 
gave it up years ago.

If it is your dwell which is at 50, that sounds fine. If your gap is set to .050" 
that is way too big.
