<x-charset iso-8859-1>Sounds like air in the brake lines still. Important to know if early or late vehicle. Later have dual cylinders, in which case the master cylinder may have air in the rear brake section. The firs thing to try is to bleed the brakes in the rear. Others can help with bleeding the master. Loop a hose from the bleed nipple UP and over the tire so that stray bubbles flow from the cylinder, and not hang around trying to float back up inside the nipple. Then run the hose into a container. Jeff '67 Sqbk -----Original Message----- I have put on new mastercylinder , new steelbraided brake hoses and new rear wheel cylinders . The front brakes stop on a dime but the back only work good if I pump them once or twice. Even when I do that the petal is still spongey. Anyone have any clues? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web! Visit http://www.vwtype3.org/list/ </x-charset>
