Joe, Ask him what the chassis number and engine numbers are. I have a production list which would anable you to fix the month and year that it was manufactured and whether the engine was also made in that month or near to it. This would enable you to assess whether the engine was likely to be original. Also, I cannot see from the photos whether it has either/and/or a push-button dash and wrap-around dash. I think I can just make out that it has the very early seat cover material and pattern. Incidentally, I have just sold my Sep 1963 -made notchback (which is in rustfree original condition with only surface rust on the roof) for AU$350 or US$180. I drives and almost everything works.
