<x-charset iso-8859-1>> I won them from a guy in Germany on Ebay. Take care - they are probably old stock and may therefore contain asbestos. I think I have a set of those for emergency use - eg everything dismantled and the shops shut. You should be able to rivet them with the right punches. The old VW manual says work from the centre outwards, diagonally much as you would tightening heads. Like Jim I don't like rivets - I've had drums damaged by the grit that can catch in the hollows or maybe the rivets themselves. The originals had copper as Dave C said, and they're not a problem. In fact they sometimes warn you the linings need doing by showing a bit of coppery coloured brake dust. Dave.
