I'd be far more inclined to spend my money restoring an un-butchered original like this that needs some work, than buy one that's been "painted and polished" by an overly enthusiastic youngster who's more concerned with outside appearances than actual function and substance. In my life i've seen so many very nice looking cars that upon closer inspection turned out to be shiny "turds". Anyone who's kept a car as long as this lady has, must have a genuine love for it and THAT is the absoloute best kind of car to start restoring...you know it's not been neglected, just a bit worn out.
