<x-charset iso-8859-1>Leon=> is this doable for the Nev/Ariz people ? I think crossing Nevada the hard way in August would be very hard on both cars and drivers. I'm planning on going straight north, east of the Canyon, through Salt Lake, which is still hot but not scary hot, and much of it is real pretty. This route wouldn't be bad for Southern California drivers who want to see something new on the way, or maybe loop up and back. You'll have to deal with the Mojave, though. >From south/central California I'd suggest cutting north at Reno on 395. Much prettier and cooler.
