I have another car and want to swap the > glove boxes, does the cable detach from the lever? >From memory, I believe you can replace the inner wire without drilling out anything, but you have to drill out 1 rivet to replace the outer sleeve. In general, I prefer to keep the entire wire, sleeve, glove box assembly together and replace it as a unit. It is EASY to disconnect it at the other end. Also, when you are done with this job you MUST INSTALL THE SCREW that bolts the glove box/cable release to the dash.
