The definite answer to the seat mountings is that they were introduced from chassis number 312 2 133 001 which is good into the 1972 model year. ETKA (VW's electronic parts catalogue) didnt show the rails under the chassis, as the chassis was only supplied as a complete unit without the rear subframe.
