<x-charset Windows-1252>I did an IRS swap in My 65 Notch. There are ALOT of possible issues with installing mounts for the rear hanger.. and If I had followed the article word for work Id have been in trouble. This has to be done carefully, using the right materials, and engineering things as you go. There is no reinforcement on the rear underbody of the early cars where you need it, just sheetmetal AND in most of the conversions your using a T1 transmission mount that was designed to be used in compression in a stretching mode. All this being said... my conversion DID work, no cracks or failed mounts.. YET. Ive only put a few thousand miles on it and its only 4 years old. Look at the car.. does the assembly LOOK like it can hold up the entire motor and transmission AND handle the torque loads??
