Yes, but since 35 was not used then, it is used on the newer Passats instead. I dont think there is much logic to be found in VW's type designations. > Were any Audis given any Type3 codes? (Audi 80/Fox ??) No. Audi 100, A6 and A8 is in the type 4 series, Audi 80 and A4 is type 8 series. So was the near forgotten Audi 50 and it's sister VW Polo, while the Polo has been a type 6 series since 1994.
