Any suggestions on an exact route from Oregon while picking

I've been doing some thinking and planning on this idea, but I'd only gone
as far south as LA, not down to your neck of the woods. I was
guesstimating about 8 hours of driving time a day -- I tend to lolligag
around and stop for a stretch every few hours, and it would also allow time
to breathe and deal with things in the case of the unmentionable
(breakdown). Besides, it kinda takes some of the fun out if you're just
hauling ass down the highway for 10+ hours at a stretch.
The stretch up CA to Redding is being a PITA (!!) for the timing I've tried
to do, but Redding to Portland and Portland to Parma both fit the 7-8 hour
plan.
Ah well. I'll shut up and let other people who have a better idea of what
they're doing schedule things. =)
