The drum came off easily, but thanks for that advice. I'm looking around for
a puller. It should be fairly easy to make one if I have to. Is the drive
shaft harder than the adaptor ? It certainly looks like it, since the
splines on the shaft seem OK. I'd rather not replace that, too, unless
strictly necessary.
