[T3] starter and Fuel Injection problems resolved!


<x-charset iso-8859-1>Awhile back I had asked for advise on why my car doesn't have much crank
uhmph. The battery is great and the ground strap is in good contact. I have
also been asking about FI, the car had been badly tampered with when I got
it. One of the injector plugs had been broken so they mashed the remains of
the plug back into the injector and filled it with super glue. That was fun
undoing! Anyways, with the advise sharing on this forum I was able to learn
alot about the FI system and get it working. As for the starter, it seams
the person before me had been doing alot of prolonged cranking and the
armature wires had melted the solder joint at the commutator. With my large
soldering iron, I was able to re-solder the wires and I now have good
starter UHMPH.

I really like fuel injection and recommend keeping it if you already have
it! With this forum and the internet you can find everything you need to
know about it.

Thank you to the members for all the input. Reading all the letters, I am
learning lots and having alot of fun with my '69 squareback.
