Re: [T3] Type 3 Carburetion

<x-charset iso-8859-1>MarcB=> I just want a little more OOMPHH

Well, I've found that the PDSITs offer plenty of range for moderate
increases in displacement -- mine's a 1641 -- and with Ben saying

=> I have a 1835 running in a Bug, with 32PDSIT's.
=> I have 135 mains and 150 air correction jets fitted
=> and it runs quite well.

... and considering all the difficulty I've seen described on this list in
setting up aftermarket carbs, it seems to me you may be jumping the gun
unless you're planning to take your fasty to the drags. I've found that the
major high-end gains come first from opening up the exhaust and running
larger valves; give it more air than it's ready for and you lose low end
fast. I'd recommend building it with heads and exhaust mods and, since you
have the stock carb setup already, try that system and see how it does.
Overfueling is deadly too.
