As I think about this, I realize that you have a 009 dist, which is a 
mechanical advance only dist. The extra ground wire would be 
found only on dists which have vacuum advance, allowing the 
moving half of the breaker plate to have a solid ground. Your mech 
adv 009 will only have a single stationary breaker plate and would 
not have this ground wire.
