There is a fellow named Ark Mirvis who services these heaters. He 
is adamant that they are quite safe when properly assembled. I 
believe he does good work and he used to be on this list. I have his 
email address somewhere if someone needs work done on their 
unit.

He also sells complete kits of heaters. Unlike what you find at 
swap meets, Ark's kits are COMPLETE, tested, and working.
They are also expensive, but I believe they were a rather expensive 
option from the factory when new and readily available.
