When our cars were new there was just Dexron or Type F (for 
Fords.) Since then Dexron has been replaced by Dexron II and 
Dexron III. I don't know what the differences might be, but I have 
been willing to assume that they were improved versions.

ah-HA. That's the name I can never remember!

Is this also used in Fords (and Mercurys) now?
