Put a couple drops of light oil in the top of the dist shaft to try to free up the 
mech advance. That needs to work smoothly and effortlessly.

Check the charging system regulating voltage across the battery at medium 
rpm and with the engine warm after a nice drive. It should be 14.1-14.4V if it 
is below 13.5V replace the voltage regulator with a genuine Bosch.
