Ok, so this sorta happened in my 69 fasty, but the cable didnt break, it
just came loose. What I ended up doing was pulling the bumper and the
bumper reinforcment bar, pulled out those black pieces of plastic, and
stuck a long stiff rod( no pun here) in the hole and popped the trunk
latch from the inside. Quick and easy like. My spare wasnt in the trunk
so I'm not sure if it would be in the way or not, but this works without
breaking a thing.
