<x-charset Windows-1252>> ... but it doesn't work!!! argh. i wired it up using the clocks wires, brown-ground, gr/r-light, red-ignition/power. it light's up but doesn't register the rpms.the clock wasn't working, is it possible that the ignition/power wire is faulty, but thelight can still turn on? i am pretty sure the coil is connected properly. > Is the coil connected to pole "1" on the tach and not the - symbol? ;) I think you should wire the coil to a switched power source on the fusebox, not the wire from the clock which is live all the time. Wow, your clock has a ground, neat. Yes, the light could still turn on without the tach working, that's a different circuit.
