As Jim stated keep positive pressure inside. Open the fresh air
vents and all other windows closed. If it's not too cold, you can
open your wing windows *all* the way. If the exhaust isn't in your
heating system you can also open it up for pressure.
I've learned these tricks since replacing the rear door hatch
seal. Yes, the new seal was worse than the original rotten one. I'm
still looking to trade my German near NOS fasty hatch seal for similar
squareback seal.
