<x-charset iso-8859-1>Okay, so I went through the brakes this weekend and I noticed a small, rotting rubber hose (without a clamp) attached to the top of the MC. I attempted to see how brittle the hose was and.. SPLASH!!! Brake fluid started gushing all over me! Needless to say, I found the leak in my brake lines the hard way (or at least the obvious way). To verify this, the brake line was attached to the Rear MC (and my rear brakes were the ones that kept getting air in them). Now I'm driving down the highway this weekend and notice that the car starts to sputter through the carbs - yep, its running lean (again!). I eased her home and did the 500-mile-rebuild tuneup where I noticed the valves were slightly tight, and she needed a new generator belt. So, although I now have $350 invested in my stock Solex carbs, they're still not delivering fuel properly. I will use a uni-syn to verify the lack of fuel is in the left carb and not a sympton of clogged fuel lines, filters or faulty fuel-pump. Whew!
