<x-charset iso-8859-1>That's completely absurd. You don't have to pay royalties for simply taking a photo of a car. If you did then every news photo and every television program would have to be edited to remove all the emblems. That logic would eventually mean that you could put a picture of _any_ VW car or part on the Internet, or advertise a second hand car or part. VW would surely find this counterproductive, as noone would ever get to see their cars. I always thought that the reason the car companies put emblems on their car was so that people would see them. That said, to use a picture of a VW car in your commercial logo, that's probably another story.
