Excellent tip, thanks.Unfortunately the car isn't drivable. It has no engine
:-)
This is to get the parts to repair my 'real' car which had a loose nut and
damaged the splines.

Looks like I'll have to beg/steal/borrow an oxy torch for some real heat.
Can the rest of the brake assy.  be stripped off with the carrier in place
to get at it from behind ?
