Re: [T3] Abarth repro

>>I've been talking to a couple of people whose opinions I respect about
the
Abarth systems. What they tell me is that the design makes a great sound
(at
least on the Typ 1, no one's heard the Typ 3),<<

My Type 3 Abarth did have a great throaty sound. I do remember noticing
a slight decrease in performance after switching to a stock exhaust.

>>Has anyone come up with a design that does not hang below the engine
or rear apron<<

This was the real problem with the Abarth. It was much lower than a
stock exhaust and also extended farther to the rear, so it was hard to
avoid bottoming out. There was something about the sound of a rare part
scraping along the pavement that made me decide to switch back to OEM.
