There are lots of possibilities, but I assume you feel you've already covered them: air intake, carbs, porting, heads, timing (including advance), and exhaust. I think there's a lot of art in this, still, too. You probably won't know until you try something different; then you have to keep in mind that the muffler that SOUNDS louder will always FEEL stronger.
