<x-flowed>H1, H2, H3, H4, H7 etc are different types of bulbs which are not interchangeable. They are all Halogen bulbs, noted by the H in the name. The Halogen bulbs are available in several colors with cool blue as one of them. The blue bulbs have two effects. Some bulbs are slightly colored blue to give a whiter light output then the clear bulbs. Others are tinted blue to give the effect of Xenon lights (also known as HID - High Intensity Discharge). ALso available are "All Weather" bulbs that will give a slightly yellow light. Some people call tehm "Gold" bulbs, others call them rainbow bulbs. They emit a cross between yellow and white light and are quite nice on snow. There are a lot of info on bulb types to be found on http://lighting.mbz.org/ even though I dont agree with everything that is written there. All in all, it's mostly a good site!
