Jack, I just bought a pair of calipers this weekend at Foreign Discount Auto Parts each cost me 63 bucks new, not cheap but I needed mine now and VEE parts offered the rebuid kit in a week since the ones on my car were after market made by VARGA of Brazil , the kit is not off the shelf available, I did not want to wait. I have the two bad ones that need rebuilding , they were leaking and and caused the car to shake as if both rotors were crooked, (BRAKE FLUID CONTAMINATED PADS) . It is smooth now. You can either rebuild yours with a 16.00 dollar KIT from VEE Parts if it is the original ones that came with the car, seems very easy to rebuild. or you can buy the replacement ones from VARGA, I do not know if rebuilt units are sold, VARGA units are sold outright, my car is super steady again. The easy alternative is not cheap, I know. I assume you do not want to rebuild yours or my old ones. Let me know what you decide. I thought a 1966 car had brake drums.
