If you mean because of the kick down, I understand. But I am not really flooring it, just that the pedal is down quite a bit and the engine is at a very high rpm. I did some more test today and maybe the mechanic was not totally wrong. I seem to start in 2nd gear and drive in 2nd only. I can down shift to 1st but the car just slows (you feel the engine braking) but will not drive in 1st with the lever at 1, it still seems to drive in 2nd. So what it comes down to is I don't know what gear I am in, it seems just too slow for 2nd (after doing the tune up etc.) yet I can down shift. I'm lost.
