Re: [T3] Speaking of OVER priced!!!

As I believe you said earlier, there's no harm in an
asking price, right? I'm often amazed at how many
"repricings" happen on the Samba classifieds. Cars I
thought would be gone for sure are still around and
are now at "MUST SELL!" stage... So not everyone is
biting at whatever's available.

If someone bites, well, the buyer made out right? I
guess I don't understand why it matters? If I was to
sell my VW, I'd want to get as much as I could for it
(well, when I was selling my rusted-out bug, I
actually REFUSED several outrageous offers because I
knew the damn thing wasn't safe to drive much
longer)... Assuming I felt the buyer knew what he was
getting into. I'd make a terrible used-car salesman,
but I don't feel bad for those who can get the cash
for cars that aren't necessarily worth what the buyer
is paying for.

As with the turn-signal thread, you never know what a
buyer's motivation is. Maybe he/she has 12K burning a
hole in their pocket and always wanted a RHD notch and
is just going to throw it at a resto shop and drive it
when done? Who knows?
