I haven't really been shopping for old VW radios, but I've noticed something kind of strange in FS ads, like on thesamba and ebay. It seems that more often than not, the ads say, "untested, sold as-is". Now, it seems to me that it's not terribly hard to test a radio -- you need the 6V or 12V supply, a speaker, and an antenna, all of which you've probably got in a car anyway. Have any of you tried your luck with these "untested" radios? Are these most all tested but useless junk that people are just trying to dump off for a quick buck, or are sellers often too lazy to test, or maybe they don't know how to test? What do y'all think? I know there isn't a universal answer to this question, but I'm looking for general impressions and experiences. -Greg ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
