[T3] WD40 I think I found the problem

. Under distributor cap?
> Is it OK to spray WD-40 under there>

WD40 DISPLACES MOISTURE: Because WD-40 displaces moisture; it quickly dries
out electrical systems to eliminate moisture-induced short circuits. Yes you
can spray WD40 into your distributor you should wipe out the access with a
clean rag before replacing it. As Phil says do not spray it on your wires or
ignition while the engine is running. When it is first sprayed it contains a
volatile liquid vehicle that is flammable. This liquid quickly evaporates
and leaves a moisture resistant film and will most likely allow a car with
bad wires and wet ignition parts to start. I have sprayed it on many
vehicles with wet ignitions and have had great results. Spray it inside the
cap wipe it clean also spray it over all the wires all the way to the plugs
including over the cap.
This is a short-term resolution thought, and indicates it is time to replace
you distributor cap and wires with original Bosch parts.

Good luck

Lori, Do you have good fire insurance,WD-40 is very
explosive(will burn), do not spray under the
distrubtor cap or close to ir while running. Phil
