Beetles came with the 5.60 (later 155mm) tires on 4" rims (except that late beetles switched over to 6.00 (165mm)/4.5s in the mid 70s) while type 3s had 4.5" rims with 6.00 (later 165mm) tires. It's possible that very early type 3s came with 5.60s on 4" rims, but at least by 66 all the type 3 rims were 4.5s. Fastys came with 4PR tires and squares with the stronger 6PRs, at least from 68- on, at least for those which didn't come with the radial option. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
