Does the clutch cable adustment seem to be changing? If so, check the TO bearing cross shaft arms and the pedal shaft to see if anything is bending or breaking.


This is a later model I.R.S. engine in a swing-axle 68. My question is,
does the absence of the mounting bracket located above the fan possibly cause a problem?

No, but have you installed the correct PP for the 68 TO bearing? This bearing needs a PP with the center ring in it. The later (71-73) PP does not have this.
