You remembered right... that was on my Notch, which has never had a knocking problem with the 92 oct and Semi-hemi's. I noticed no difference when I unplugged the vacuum... but I havent really done a side by side comparison. The comment below was on my Square... which is a 7.7:1 compression with stock heads. It would knock on 87 and stock timing. I run 3BTDC on it now but its not a straight 73 system.
