My 31 year old seals on the Variant still require the window opening a bit
or your ears hurt from the compression.

I have to tell this story once more.

When I was a toddler, my father had a 64 1500N Square (originally a panel with full wagon interior). One day my father and his father-in-law was going for a drive in the square. My grand-father was puffing on a cigar, and had the window cranked down a bit. So my father jumps into the drivers seat and slams the door. He slams the door really hard, because he was used to the tight door gaskets. He didnt think of the open window on the other side, so when he slams it, the air pressure flowing out of the other window takes grand-pa's cigar with it! How's that for gaskets?

Btw, this was early 70's (he owned the square from 69 to 77.
