Yes, fuel is getting to the injectors. I initially thought that my fuel lines were clogged, but as I was replacing them I noticed I had really good fuel flow. I seriously am stumped at this point as to the cause of the problem. The car has been to the mechanic twice for this situation and they don't have an idea as to the underlying reason to the problem. -----Original Message----- From: The Shackelford Family [mailto:shackclan@attbi.com] Sent: Tuesday, December 03, 2002 7:16 AM To: Chris Subject: FW: [T3] T3 engine problems -----Original Message----- From: Type 3 Mailing List [mailto:type3@vwtype3.org]On Behalf Of Joe Barnes Sent: Tuesday, December 03, 2002 2:43 AM To: Type 3 Mailing List Subject: Re: [T3] T3 engine problems >I have a '72 T3 automatic fuel injected squareback. I know this is probably not the solution but have you checked that fuel is getting to the injectors properly. I had what I thought was a FI problem a while back. Turned out that because the vehicle had been stood a while before I drove it, all the gunk in the bottom of the fuel tank had somehow got through the filter and got into the fuel lines themselves. I went through my whole ignition system changing the spark plugs, coil, condenser, points etc, before moving onto the FI system and realising that wasn't at fault either. My point is just check the really obvious stuff before you start adjusting things...
