Re: [T3] new brazilian engine case

<x-flowed>Yes, the case I bought was ready for a type 3 installation with mountings for the hanger and oil filler tube. As my case is original VW do Brasil there were no machining problems and the hanger was straight bolt-on.

Do they have the mounts for the rear T3 engine hanger??

You need to get a plug for type1 oil pressure sender and block off the type 1 dipstick tube. You may need a step-stud for the oilcooler (our coolers have 6 mm holes, the Bras. case has an 8 mm boss).

and finally, is this case really worth anything?

I paid $350 for a new one, locally, if that's what you mean. They should be cheaper in US, since we have a hefty 24% sales tax and overseas shipping. They're good cases, with additional reinforcements over the old ones from early 70's. And since they're new, they're not cracked and doesnt need lineboring. And this one looks better than the one I bought! What's weird though is that I cant see the VW part number or symbol on this one.
