As a 73-owner, I wonder > why does it have a longer interval on the 73? I've got to admit that I never noticed that. There are a couple of other places where VW extended the service interval for 73 without changing anything (front wheel bearings.) I think they just figured that they would be okay, and wanted to claim longer service intervals as a sales point. I don't think there were any internal changes that were made at the same time. Greasing the front end is one thing I really try to do regularly, meaning at every oil change, regardless of mileage. These parts are just too hard to fix/replace if we let them wear out from lack of lubrication. - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
