Guys, We do have fedex and UPS here as well. Try them instead of Australia Post. Also, check out http://www.yellowpages.com.au for shipping companies. You may get surprised at the differences in cost. Try ringing them direct - our peso^Wdollar is worth about half of the US dollar ($0.54 to be exact), and if you pay in Australia rather than in the US, it should be way cheaper. For example, when someone bought tickets for me last year flying Qantas, they paid $USD2200 via their travel agent for a ticket that costs no more than $AUD1900 here (about $USD950). I wish they'd asked first as I would have liked flying business class. Alternatively you may wish to try one of the major shipping companies like P&O or Patricks. For that sort of price you can nearly hire a complete container (well, I'm exaggerating, but you get my drift... come on a holiday, find a good type3, load it to the gills with goodies and ship it to your place in a container). Did you take them as carry-ons or as checked baggage? - ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/ ------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <type3-off@vwtype3.org> For more help, see http://vwtype3.org/list/
